Mature. Drinking like a chateauneuf from a warm vitage, this is plummy, spicy, rich, sweet and creamy. An oxidative side shows up at the end. Very nice, but drink up.

Friday hangout at Domaine (Chicago, IL) : Went into this with no expectations, but was on the pleasantly surprised side of things. Plummy, dark fruit with some nice earthiness, and a generally well-controlled amount of fruit here. Slightly leathery tannins.

Drinking brilliantly right now. Has shed some fat and sweetness, but the fruit is still there. Perfumed and lovely. Great great structure for a Grenache. Drink or hold.

Attractive garnet color in the glass. Something of a tangy nose. Raspberry, red plum on the tip of the tongue. A sensation suggesting black licorice under the mid-palate. Somewhat tart, Medium-bodied.

Deep strawberry, rhubarb and hint of white pepper with some nuttiness on the finish. Gorgeous expression of Cal Grenache. Best vintage I’ve tasted from Dr. Tolmash

A very pleasant wine. Red fruit--strawberry--on entry. More "fruity" than "tart." but, even though it will not challenge the sophisticated wine drinker, it is not insipid. Take it for what it is--an easy-to-drink wine that will go nicely with a casual meal. We're having leftovers, tonight. Perfect.

A very pretty nose of sweet red berries. Taste is more spicy and ends a bit dry. Quite nice.

Dark fruit, plum, spices, and herbs on the nose. Relatively low tannins with medium acidity and black berry notes on the palate. Medium finish. Nice wine, but not overly complex and a bit flat on the palate. Lacks tannic grip to make it more interesting. Still good, though.
