Rochioli, Sweetwater Chardonnay, Russian River Valley

Pale gold medium body (14.5%) chardonnay. Floral nose. Very enjoyable apple, melon and pear fruit that changed over time. Pleasant long finish.

Drinking beautifully right now. Based on the other notes I read, I'm very glad I keep my cellar at 54 degrees. Beautiful fruit in the nose and flavor. Apples, pears and citrus in the nose with floral notes. Pears and grapefruit in the flavor. Nice acidity, complex, medium to full bodied and a medium to long silky finish. Unfortunately, my last bottle, but if I had more, I'd drink over the next two years.

-- popped and poured -- -- tasted non-blind over a couple hours -- I didn't pay much attention to this, so just a really brief impression here. Ripe, as one would expect from CA and Rochioli, but with a stronger mineral aspect than the rest of their Chardonnay lineup. Holding-up just fine 8 years from vintage. Drink Now.

Outstabotyle of Chardonnay

An unashamed full blown California Chardonnay. Still has a beautiful straw color. Aromas of pear, vanilla, lemon, green apple, honeydew and tangerine. full bodied with green apple, lemon, pear, tangerine, hazelnut and vanilla. Medium acidity with a good finish. Still seems youthful.

I found this somewhat angular. Would have thought it would be more together 5 years on. Medium + bodied. Maybe some more time will make this more interesting.

WIML93 Tasted non blind. Opened and served immediately. Light yellow color in the glass, clear looking throughout. Nose of vanilla, hazelnut and yellow pears. Flavors of brandy soaked pears, vanilla and lemon curd. Medium acidity, full bodied. Drink or hold. I'd lean towards drinking over the next few years.

Just right - rich Sonoma Chardonnay that's in a great place. Drink.
