Bernadette Peirazeau-Groffier Chambertin-Clos de Bèze

Bought for the BYO event in Beaune. Good color, good flavor, lacking a long finish but good.

Chambertin Grand Cru BYO Lunch (Slanted Door - Beaune) : Small glass. Slightly dirty, but not too troublesome in that regard. Middleweight for its terroir, but mostly balanced and certainly enjoyable. I was told that Bernadette Groffier was Robert's sister, and these vines merged into what is now Domaine Peirazeau and mostly sold to negociants.
