An opaque deep ruby purple in colour. Scents of cassis, plum, mint, licorice, fig preserve, balsamic and subtle oak notes. Medium full bodied with sweet tannins and a nice long mineral tinged finish. Really enjoyed drinking this wine. Very much like a typical Medoc style wine except on the finish which showed a bit more bitterness, maybe some garrigue and a slightly different fruit set …. dark fruit berries and cassis but also another type of fruit I can't quite place. Popped an allowed to aerate for an hour or so. Slow sipping and it changed a bit more, but pretty consistent sipping.

I was very concerned after seeing the synthetic closure and many bad reviews here. Now I am delighted to say this was one of the best wines I have ever tasted. In the nose carried some ageing notes, but generally still familiar ripe pronounced Cabernet aromas and spiciness. On the palate, fascinatingly complex, layered fruit and spice, some jamminess but at the same time good acidity, full body, lots of tannin, long long length.

This bottle is right in the middle of the range of ratings that I would give the 06. I have seen a bit of variation in the recent bottles. Nose of earth and dark berries. The oak was light and nice flavor of dark berries with a tiny bit of green grape astringence at the end. Finish has really nice smooth tannins

The bouquet is still a bit locked. There is some menthol and fruit. On the palate cherries, some spiciness, some chocolate and fresh acidity. The tannin is round but still firm. Wait for another 3 or 4 years, so the bouquet will be more expressive and the tannin more smooth.

No formal notes - Cherry red wine, initialy showing vanilla and dark fruitiness. After a while, showing more vegetal notes and some toast-like impressions. Light body with good fruit and some spices. Brick color. Nose of green pepper, very spicy. Mouth: thin, light body, very little fruit but a lot of green pepper. Overall, nothing special. The nose was very special at first, I never smelled something like this before (it almost reminds me of chili pepper), but I got bored after a few glasses. I could have spent my 10€ better than this.

Holy pyrazine. GOBS of green pepper, with a little black pepper and plum. low/med acid, heavy mouthfeel, but the palate mirrors the nose with oodles of green pepper and little fruit. Hot and vegetal, not really pleasant.

Decent bottle and at $8 nothing to complain about at all. The body was light and simple to medium complexity. I couldn't get over the jalapeno on the nose. There was just no way around it. I've never smelled a red wine that spicy before.

Color: Ruby Red, Nose: Pleasant. Earthy, Palate: Light-Bodied (a little watery). Palate was earthy, light fruit, and simple. Long, mildly-spicy finish was enjoyable. Easy to drink and I like the earthiness. Would have enjoyed it more if it was more medium-bodied. Improved over Day 2 and Day 3. Would recommend if you don't mind a lighter-body Cab.
