Heavy. Fruity. Cheap. Not great. Not bad.

Tasted the 2009 and the 2010 side-by-side at Total Wine. The 2009 blew me away and I found a bottle to take home in the bin. But, when I went back for more, they were out of the 2009. Found more at another store location and purchased and drank. YUM!! Full-bodied. Vanilla notes. Will buy more to stock up as my budget permits!

this was the surprise wine of the weekend... dark berry nose, decent complexity... excellent QPR

This was rated 90 pts by Wine Spectator and marked as a Smart Buy in June 3013 issue. It was a really good Merlot with some nice deep berry flavors balanced with a good peppery/tannin level. Definitely would buy again at less than $21/bottle.

A little better this time than earlier this summer. We tasted more spice, oak and blackberry than previously, though it could still use just a bit more body.

The prominent oak profile is well integrated with fruit and tannins. Nice raspberry fruit, hint of creamy vanilla, medium weight and smooth. A very nice Washington merlot.

Tasted from two bottles with consistent notes. This wine was muted and bland. There is some fruit flavors, but they do not last long. I had much higher hopes for this since I knew that WS gave it 90 points, but I did not taste anything like the WS review had me hoping for. Pretty big dissapointment since we used to drink the 1999 Merlot quite regularly a few years back.
