HDH auction at Spiaggia; 2/15/2018-2/17/2018 (Chicago, IL) : Surprisingly ripe on both the nose and palate. A minute hint of smoke on the nose with some fleshy stone fruit. The fruit on the palate is also ripe, and while there's lots of acidity here, this is too fat of an example of white Burgundy for my taste. I've liked the Leroux wines I've tasted before; this is a bit of a disappointment.

Fine Vines Fall 2017 Portfolio Tasting (City Winery - Chicago IL) : Tasting, brief note. Floral and orchard fruit aromas, very engaging. Power with elegance. Better integrated vs when tasted in March 2016. Better yet in a few more years.

Ripe peach aromas with a whiff of toast and some aniseed. It is generous and full in the mouth. There's a creamy feel yet the wine has detail and is composed. It finishes with plenty of spice and is beautifully balanced and utterly delicious. Sealed under screwcap too.

DIVA Burgundy Tasting (Maison Champy - Beaune) : Tasting, brief note. Great nose of peach and lemon peel with spice hints, all together with an enticing, racy character. I also like the ripe flavors, just find the structure a little disjointed today. Cellar for a few years, but certainly 90+ point potential here.
