Pyramids Road Wines Bernie's Blend

Colour: dark cherry red Nose: plum, mulberry, blackberry. Lots of rich black berry fruit Sweet spice, cedary oak. Only a hint of balsamic vinegar now. Palate: plum, mulberry, blackberry. Mulberry jam. Sweet spice, slightly charred oak. Fine grained, chunky, drying tannins. Acidity fresh , lively, berry-like. Medium to full bodied. Opened up a bit since the last time I tried it. Would be good to taste again in five and ten years time. Pity its my last bottle. 14% alcohol.

40% Merlot, 40% cabernet sauvignon, 20% petit verdot. Colour: dark purple/plum red Nose: blackberry, cassis, plum, perhaps mulberry Toasty oak, sweet spice. Touch of balsamic vinegar. Palate: sharp fresh black berry fruit. Blackberry, plum, cassis, mulberry. Toasty oak, sweet spice. Very fresh, lively, linear acidity, drying fine grained tannins. Acid still quite dominant when first opened, needs air as it's still too young. Medium bodied, 14% alcohol.
