Monchhof, Erdener Pralat Riesling Auslese, Mosel

I had two bottles left in my cellar and pulled this one to drink because it had seepage. So, i wasn't expected much but it was wonderful despite the seepage. Medium amber in color. Distinctive nose of petrol and hints of tropical flowers. The tropical flowers followed on the palate but with strong mango notes. The acidity was very fresh and balanced well with the fruit. Covid Cassoulet (Robin Stark's, Cardiff-by-the-Sea) : Lots of apple on the nose. Touch of petrol. Strong, sappy and rich. The sugar seems about halfway broken down. This really came clean off the palate with the apparent acidity.

Too sweet. Turned yellow. Bad cork

Hint of orange in the citrus. Beautiful long finish. Not overly sweet. Excellent.

Very shy nose but slowly opened to a rich but still crisp aged riesling; marvelous viscosity, mouthfeel and staying power.

very sweet and not particularly subtle. Perhaps it will eventually open out but more powerfully sweet than I expected although clean fruit.

Huge nose of citrus fruits. Bit short, super sweet, some tropical fruits and lemon. Does not seem to have enough acid to backup the sugar.
