1 hour decant in glass. Garnet with dark pink edge in color. Nose of cranberries, cherries, sweet earth, saddle leather & subtle pyrazine. On the palate: cherries, cranberries, mandarin orange, black licorice & vanilla. Sweet, green tannins are well integrated and perceived somewhat on gums. Long finish of damson plum, red berries, sassafras root, vanilla and sandalwood. Wine drank consistently over three days.
