Crisp, brambly berry, earth, slightly macerated, astringent finish. Very nice.

Easy drinking SA Shiraz. Chocolate flavoured red fruits with a touch of earth.

That's pretty easy drinking shiraz. Just a touch of the SA funk to them. A clean style of shiraz I am being told.

Eat 2004. Organic practices. All wines produced are single vineyard, which is capped at 6 ha. per law. Whole Buch, whole berry ferment in cement tanks. 8 month ferment. Aged in large foudre. Dark, spiced fruit nose. Dusty tannin from the attack onward. Nice acids. Not too smokey. Plum and coffee notes, dries out wholly on the finish. Cornas level of dryness. wow.

Sehr konzentriert aber dennoch nocht überreif, schöne frische herbe Noten, fast sogar grün mit knackiger Säure und sehr langem Abgang. Hat sicher einige Jahre Lagerpotenzial.

The winemaker has had a hard time convencing people to drink Shiraz because of the style that it is in . The vineyards are all shale and very rocky and then drive in river bed. So there is a natural stress on the vineyard here. Has some of that SA funk on the nose. Whole bunch fermented. In essence these are all unwooded wines. BUt I am being told I won't notice that on the palate. Big and kinda super …
