Nicely aged. Lots of fruit and soft mouthfeel yet robust

Lots of vibrant fruits throughout.

Bottle 2 of 2. Once again, wine had penetrated one-third of the cork. Decanted 2 hours. Dark purple. Aromas of dark fruit, toasty oak, clove, and when you breathe real deep like I do, alcohol (although this is only 14%). Time in the glass adds bubble gum from 1970s/1980s Canadian hockey cards. Medium-full body, m acid, XD, smooth tannins. Long finish. Better than the bottle I had a few weeks ago, but not as good as the one I had …

Very long cork (over 2 inches), wine already 1/3 of the way up. Tannins resolved but not precipitated out. Decanted two hours. I did not enjoy this wine as much tonight as I did at the winery in 2018, where it showed a lot of N. Rhone-like bacon fat. Bottle variation? Will try my other bottle soon and report back!

Not having (to my memory at least) any experience with Canadian Syrah, I was totally impressed and surprised by the qualify of this wine. This was recommended for us by the wine steward/sommelier at Hy's Steakhouse in Whistler BC. Not decanted. The scents were immediately coming out of the glass with pepper, black fruits, spice. The palate was equally impressive with game, black fruits and more spice. As other notes mention, a blend of N. Rhone and Washington. Very good!

This bottle has an identity crisis (don’t we all?) ... On the nose this seems like equal parts St. Joseph and the Rocks District in WA: fresh ground black pepper, salty black liquorice pastels, star anise, wood char, BBQ sauce, new rubber tires, a lurking but subtle miasma of old rusty exhaust systems in a scrap metal bin ... Big juicy, Aussie style syrah with an enormous nose right out of the gates.

Another great entry in the quality BC Syrah movement – right on point in (nearly) every way. With dark fruit and a big body, this is not your elegant, nuanced Syrah, but neither is it bombastic or overwrought. Currants, black raspberry, and plum burst forth on the nose, mixing with classic notes of herbs, gravel, and salted meats.
