90 minute decant. Nose of raspberry coulis, mulled spice, and cedar shingle. Dense, rich palate of kirsch, wild raspberry, potpourri, and cinnamon. A range of tannins, spice, smoked ham, and lingering dark chocolate and oak. Outstanding and intense, if missing some freshness.

Cola, mint, black cherry on the nose. Super fragrant, amazing bouquet. Opulent and indulgent on the palate. Jeb's review is spot on. One of my favorite CDPs ever. If you were nonplussed, please send me whatever you may have left.

91-92 Good but not great tonight, needs more time. Was shut down for the first few hours in the decanter. Wish I had more to try in a few years but won’t actively seek out another bottle.

91 points. Wine spies find. Nice Grenache, soft fruit, earth, balanced. It didn’t blow me away but it was still lovely. Missing a bit of the fruit/ acidity that I love.

The wine is long, ripe, juicy and fruity. The fruit has left and persistency with energy, depth of flavor and layers of spice, garrigue, kirsch, plum and black raspberry. The wine is made from 100% old vine, Grenache planted in sandy soils not too far from Chateau Rayas.
