Cooked black fruits with a floral note. The palate is dense with thick blackberry and blackcurrant juice with all the structure of the integrated tannins and acidity to balance that sweet fruit and stop it being too ripe and gloopy. Still primary and without the elegance of a Left Bank Bordeaux but very much its country's style and very enjoyable for it.

11 years since picking. This has aged nicely. It’s a good Cab Sauv with plenty of rich and dark fruit. Lovely.

Deep, dark inky red colour. Tobacco, oak, cedar and dark fruits on nose. Similar taste with a touch of eucalyptus and menthol. Medium finish with dusty tannins. Enjoyable.

- Brick color with medium forming legs and aromas of blackberry and licorice anise. It's balanced and has flavours of fig, prune, cloves, oak and black currant with a medium/full body. Satin-Like texture.

The wine looks purple colored. The legs are medium. There is light sediment in the bottle. It smells like blackberry, raspberry, black currant (cassis), mineral and stoniness. It tastes like black currant (cassis), blackberry, blueberry, strawberry, raisin and sandalwood. The body is medium. The wine has round texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has low acidity.

Stewed blackcurrant and blackberry, vanilla, cedar, pencil shaving, earth and spice. The palate has lots of lovely blackcurrant and blackberry fruit, spice, finishes with a pleasant sour black cherry finish. Still has acidity and tannin to suggest more years ahead of it.

Blackcurrant aromas mingled in with scorched earth, bell pepper. The palate has lots of blackcurrant fruit, scorched herbs, pepper, bright acidity and good tannic structure. Very solid wine which has moved on a lot since I last tasted it but has lots of life left in it.

A bit stewed, to be blunt. Slightly mouthpuckering on the finish too. Black fruit, stewed plums, menthol, sweet and not entirely balanced. Alcohol level good. £17.50 is a lot for this.

Last of 6, and although the best I'm still a bit underwhelmed. It's ok, but nothing stands out, so it feels a bit overpriced.

Opened after a 04 Boyd Cantenac and enjoyed the first glass which showed a round and smooth palate without being overly sweet and fine menthol and eucalyptus notes. Later as the wine opened up I was less impressed as the dark fruit started to show some overripeness and tar notes appeared. Good but not showing the balance of the Boyd

Deep red, subdued menthol on the nose, dark fruits, full bodied with ripe tannins, well balanced acidity and a long finishe with a hint of spice. Decant before consuming. Will age in bottle for the next few years

Eucalypt & sandlewood on the nose, blueberry / blackcurrant fruit with good weight, plenty of oak which is somewhat drying, well judges acid keeping things fresh and giving a pleasing length - some spice at the end, a good solid effort and I'll wait a few years before finsihing my last bottle as this should continue to round out

Nice young Cabernet. Improved with decanting so may be entering its drinking window. Very nice with food.

Deep red colour. Menthol and tar on the nose along with a touch of dark fruits. Very similar in taste - very fresh tasting eucalyptus and menthol along with dark fruits, a bit of tar and a touch of oak. Long finish with refreshing acidity. Drinking very nicely - very enjoyable.

A deep garnet at the edge with just a hint of purple. Cool menthol on the nose, giving no hint of the very full mouthful of fruit - almost tropical in sweetness. Not a lot of tannin for a 6 yr old cabernet sauvignon. This is ready for drinking now and will peak in the next 2 years.

Fairly muted nose, fruity. Fruity, sharp dark and red fruit, big confected. Medium length. Bit disappointing.

Drank this wine at Ming Kee Seafood with a group of wine enthusiasts. Wine opened with a tight nose. Some mint and black fruits. On the palate it offers cherries, tobacco and some dried herbs. Not quite ready for drinking yet. Can try again in a few years time.

Youthful on the eye, nose of dust and dried herbs, plums. The palate has crunchy black fruit, integrated tannins, powerful finish.

Very Coonawarra nose, quite taught, lovely fruit in the leaner style with nice acid and fine powdery tannins and some spice at the end giving a lingering finish - as long as the fruit hangs in then this has a way to go
