Château de la Grave Grains Fins

This is a little cracker. Pale gold in appearance with a first nose of honey and tropical fruit - think thai mango for sticky rice. The second nose - after a swirl - was more floral: daffodils, honeysuckle, a whack of pineapple and greengage. The palate had medium+ acidity with citrus flavours and some distant tropical notes. I had in mind that it would pair beautifully with a pear and blue cheese salad (although I drank it as an aperitif). …

Straw with a nose of orchard fruits, lime, nougat and lick of oak. The palate has a pleasant oak spice, apple and pear fruit. Quite a rich style but with a nice balance.
