Sourced from the winery recently. Boxbeutel. 13.5% ABV. Medium yellow golden colour. Pear, orchard fruit, white pepper, and light earth, with medium-level acidity and good length of the lightly bitter finish. Medium-bodied, with average complexity, and somewhat austere. The acidity was disharmonious and not backed by enough fruit. Absolutely great dry Franken Riesling sourced from one of the best single vineyards in the region (located in the municipality of Iphofen, about 25 kilometers south-east of the city of Würzburg, Bavaria) and produced by one of the top estates in Franconia.
