Curtis Family Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon Heritage

I’m a huge fan of McLaren Vale Shiraz and this example delivers. Full on the nose with deep berry flavors and some spice notes. The American Oak and quality of the wine comes through. For under $20 it’s a very good drop.

Didn't have a lot of expectations for this McLaren Vale Shiraz. The winery is located on the outskirts of the Vale, family owned and growing too. Picked this one up at Dan's for under $20, hence my apprehension. It's actually quite good. Mid opacity with some translucency on the edge Mid range level of fruit, a fair amount of oak and some mocha thrown I for food measure. For its price point - a B+
