Beautiful nose of black cherry, black raspberry, wet earth, flowers, herbs, a little smoke, and a little game. Cranberry, tart cherry, earth, blackberry, and a bit of meat at the end of the palate. Slightly austere, but there's also a nice roundness on the palate that's a bit surprising. Tart acidity, still quite a bit tannin, nice finish. Terrific Beaujolais, perfect with roast chicken and potatoes, and a crusty baguette. Worked well with sharp cheese too.

All the elements of a great wine are here. They are just so awkwardly composed that the wine leaves you wanting more. I am losing hope that this wine will ever come together.

Immediately upon opening there's almost an overwhelming amount of cherry on the palate, this recedes in a short while and we're left with a well balanced beauj that's quite enjoyable and delicious. Good medium bodied mouthfeel with vibrant acidity and a decent finish.

Transparent garnet with noticeable edge-thinning and lite in the glass. Car tire, raspberry, and black licorice on the nose. Secondary strawberry compote and pepper. Vibrant cranberry on the initial palate followed by austere red fruit mid-palate. Secondary citrus peel. Driven minerality and mouth coating tannin. Becomes mouth watering on the medium/long finish. A steal for seven bucks at Grocery Outlet.

Nice garnet color. Medium-bodied and silky smooth. Strawberry and raspberry with a refreshing minerality. Well-integrated and elegant. Impressive, especially for $15.

Rasberry and strawberry with just a hint of earth on the nose. Smooth, simple, flavors echoing the nose on the palate. Wish it had a bit more zip too it, but tasty juice.

A lovely beaujolais. Nose has fresh raspberry and strawberry, some earthy minerality, a bit of cereal, but quite lovely. Garnet color brightens on the edge. Smooth, medium body on the palate with fresh raspberry and I think some sour cherry on the midpalate, with a very nice medium finish. Had with grilled chicken, slightly, ever so slightly chilled to around 50 degrees, and it was very nice. Would definitely buy again.

Mon premier beaujolais 2008. Si la Côte du Py 2007 bu quelques jours auparavant m'avait laissé voir un vin présentant une bonne structure avec des tannins veloutés, celui ci en revanche avait une texture fluide, peu de tannins, et surtout, et je pense que le millésime veut cela, beaucoup d'acidité. On aime ou on aime pas. J'ai bien aimé.
