Amazing wine for the price. Offered blind to my wife: she rated it 94. There are black cherry and ripe blackberry fruits mixed with chocolate and grilled herbs. A lot of spices on the long finish. 93+. Excellent now. I will drink the other bottles I have in the next 12-18 months.

14.5% alcohol. G 60%, Car 39%, the balance coming from assorted white varieties according to a secondary source (others mention S and CS, so we are basically all over the place, but I certainly do not detect any CS in the mix...). Vg cork of substantial length. This note is based on a day 2 tasting (not by design, but the circumstances were not favourable for analytic tasting on day 1); wine kept refrigerated overnight and then allowed to come …

🍽️Restaurante Outback.

Nice fruity medium-full body of bright juicy plum. A bit of lavender and red berries. Tannins fully integrated, and the wine is energetic.

What I look forward to most about this is the blend. Not typical but just works. If seeking something singular that exemplifies Priorat, I would not reach for this; but for an easy-drinking Priorat in this price range, I would reach for this over just about anything.

Ok wine but doesnt really do it for me. Maybe an off night, to young or something else but had higher expectations. Didnt take notes though.

Decantado cinco horas.

PnP. Fresh, and balanced, though not something that's overly memorable. A good food wine that offers avg complexity and length. Should hold at this level for another 5+ years. recommended

Medium ruby in colour. Medium+ nose intensity with developing notes of smoke, earth, spices, pepper, cooked red fruits, black fruits, fig, prune. Dry, high acidity and alcohol. Medium+ tannin, body, flavour intensity and finish.

Tasted side by side with 2017 Laurel Priorat. Hard to beat this, especially on value. Eminently drinkable already. A hint of oak on this, but not problematically so.

Good intensity with bright pomegranate and raspberry. Crunchy acidity, rounded out by minerality and still some tannin to shed. Nice and in good spot. Still has years to go.

Extremely fresh on the nose. Wild strawberry, red raspberry and lavender. Some more licorice, bacon and a very nice minerality to this wine. Medium to full bodied, with firm tannins. a little bitter mid palate with a slight lack of power but very elegant and properly concentrated. Very nice. 60% Grenache 40% carignan from slate soils aged 12 months in used oak. Drink or hold for a decade. 12,000 cases made.

Masterclass - MW Tasting Exam Techniques with Tan Ying Hsien MW (Zoom) : Medium bright pink purple ruby, homogeneous, thick legs, high extraction. Aromas of a fresh floral bouquet, and raspberry, and somewhat minty. Fair acids, somewhat light, with a start of ripe blackberry, and then some purple flowers and mint

Of course, very young - but still very good. The nose with a classic southern Rhône touch, but restrained. Overall this is a balanced and almost velvety variant of the style. We like it, not necessarily much better with cellaring.

Extremely young, but actually approachable, if you like the black pepper character from Carignan. Very vertical and manly wine, spicy with a very sound fruit. A wine from the hillside ... 92+ #test

Apparently the 2017 is Grenache dominant (55/44) and comes from 80 different vineyards. Sligtly backwards on the nose, verging more to dried fruit and spiced plum, although with air there is a hint of Grenache perfume as well. Quite dense in the mouth. Firm tannins overriding the slightly cooked fruit that falls away surprisingly quickly. I think this needs some more time to come together.

Let me start by saying there were 14 of us in a room and I was the only one that didn’t like it. It checked a lot of boxes but it was missing the one that sort of defines priorat for me. To me. It is chateauneuf w gusto. This is not. It’s too clean. Too stylized. Wouldn’t really want it if it were free. Later I chose the much less expensive roucas toumba vacqueyras over it.

Excellent, 14.5% alc. Perfect now and would probably last longer easily. Colour: dark red berries Bouquet: dark sweet berries - blackberry, raspberry, blueberry, dusty, earthy, tobacco, black olive tapenade, black pepper, cereal, Palate: smooth with ripe black plum, liquorice, dark chocolate, cereal, vanilla oak, big soft tannins, very dry, dusty, grainy, dark berries, quite acidic long finish. Quite full bodied. June 1019

On the nose: Dust, soil, tobacco, dark sweet berries that I cannot name. On the palate: Oak, vanilla, dry dust, dark berries. Low rate of tannins left but no acidity. Medium finish I would not say that it is over more in the middle of the drinking window.

Said to be made from a blend of Garnacha and Carinyena (Carignan) and aged in barriques. Seems a little past its peak as the oak seems to dominate the fruit as it approaches 10yrs old. A little low acid and too much vanilla for me but, there is some appealing mineral and wild raspberry flavors that would be fantastic if this had more lift and less vanilla. A little jammy. I think others will love this wine more that I. …

Very floral. Full aromas of boysenberry, strawberry, orange pekoe tea, copper penny, meat and funk. Powerful, fresh and elegant. Medium to full bodied, medium plus acid, medium tannin, still a little chunky, a mid-palate sweetness, lots of life and energy, mineral finish. Not heavy or plodding at all. Just a touch salt. Alcohol shows a bit, but in a nice way. Great with yaki niku, kimchi and avocado. Tamed the tannin, rounded out the wine. Enjoyed over 3 hours, good …

Just a few if what a Priorat can offer. Garrige nose, lactic notes and chocolate. Watery texture on the palate but also alcoholic and little harsh. Elegant? Quite complicated to give an answer when there are better examples in this denomination for this money. Paired with lamb cuttles and coleslaw salad. Sólo un poco de lo que el Priorato puede ofrecer. Nariz a algarrobas, notas lácticas y chocolate. Textura acuosa en boca pero también alcohólica y un poco amarga. Elegante? …

Decanted and started drinking shortly there after. 1st taste was rough but soon smoothed out after the decant. Don't think this wine has moved a whole lot since my notes in July 2010. It's charming, a nice weight and shows some dark cherry fruit. Little heat on the finish. It has a charm to it but the oak is out in front and the wines seems to be aging at a glacial pace for it's lower end pedigree. I think …

This was very light in color and depth in the mouth. Not really what I was expecting from this producer. It was still very reticent on the nose and the mouth. I'm not entirely sure if this is just the way this wine is or if it needs more time to come around. One more bottle that will lie down for a few years so I can get a better guage on these.
