This bottle shows that the last bottle was a slight oddball. This one is back to the earlier quality. Nose is dark berries. Flavors of berries, earth dominate with a excellent acidity along with moderate tannin.

Wow. So much energy still, vibrant fruit (dark cherries, somewhat bramble), black and some white pepper, verging on overly heated but strikes the balance well. Last of five bottles, remains a favorite.

This bottle was a bit over the top, meaning past its ideal point. Toasted a bit. Still a rich piece of barbera.

Still serious fruit and black pepper, apparent acidity and medium tannins. Waning a bit so should probably be had quite soon.

Gourmetklubbens fyrtioförsta middag: Tema Italien (Södermalm, Stockholm (P+A)) : (Decanted for one hour) Still youthful nose showing fruitful notes of banana, charcuteries and blueberries. With some time in the glass it shows stables and forest floor in a good way. Acidic palate still showing some tannins with primary fruit and with a nice lengthy finish showing some tannins still. Consistently excellent Barbera. Still drinking young and delicious. Nose is dark fruit as well as bright red berries. Earth and dark fruit on the palate, medium acidity balancing the fruit, and a nice hit of tannins at the end.

Same high level of quality and deliciousness and QPR as the November 17 bottle.

Has gotten even better than previous bottles: Nose is dark and red berries. Berries and earth dominate with a good acidity along with modest tannins.

Medium+ ruby red. Punchy nose of earth, plum, spices, tea leaves, flowers, cinnamon, some stem. Medium+ body, medium acid, medium+ tannin, medium finish. Sour dark cherry, spiced wood, hint of vanilla, savory herbs. Holds up well to food. An entertaining drink and great value for the money.

Drank with a pizza dinner. Darker flavor, more tannins. Stayed consistent as bottle was open.
