Domaine Michel Lafarge Bourgogne

This pours very light garnet in the glass, bricking is light. The nose is fairly tired showing autumn foliage, dried cherry, broth, mushroom, forest floor, and dried ginger. The palate enters on dried cherry, but quickly turns to medium plus and quite coarse tannin, acid is medium and a a touch hard. The finish is short showing dried cherry, iron, and autumn foliage. Pale garnet, medium acid, medium body. Out of the bottle is lots of red cherries, gently stewed. quite aromatic on the nose, notes of forest floor, a lil dusty but not rustic. Tannins are very fine & well integrated at this age. Medium finish. Will decant throughout the meal.

Time to drink based on this bottle. Light and red cherry fruit with earthy notes. Not a lot of structure left but enjoyable nonetheless.
