Opened up a little after it had been opened but think that the wine is starting to decline

Aged well with good fruit showing through in the front to middle palate and a hint of tannins in back. Could easily handle another 1-2 years aging to soften out the tannins fully. All-in-all a treat for the mouth.

Big, brash, balanced. At first I thought it would be over the top with rich fruit, but the spices, tannins and acidity provided a balance. The resulting powerful, complex wine is a bit hard to match with food - it is something of a meal by itself - but each sip reveals something new.

PnP, ready to go right away. Wouldn't have thought six months would be dramatically different. Tannins are are soft with lots of red fruit, light smoke, some vanilla. The mouth feel is soft, and has medium length finish for a balanced wine. The Cab Franc however just lingers forever. Drink up, it's in a great place right now.

This is quite a powerful wine. Needs at least an hour decant, and then the journey of this wines evolution begins. A lot of spice, tart berries, and smokey earth (almost scorched). This is very cab franc heavy and the palate is unbalanced for that first hour, you need to allow the merlot and cab sauv to swell to round out the palate. I like the analogy that cab franc has a donut structure, the merlot, malbec, and cab sauv …

Dark garnet color. Nose of casis, oak. The palate is soft showing primarily blackberry, blueberry, some oak. Does not pack a huge punch, but is still an enjoyable wine. Moderate light finish.

I dont know if this needed a bunch more air as one of the people I was with suggested, but i think it has just not aged right or we had a bad bottle. It had a great nose and tasted just like an old bordeaux. All of the flavors were muted. It had a bunch going on but everything was so faded. You could tell it was a nice wine at one point

Nice concentration, with dark fruit and some earth. Tannins still holding up. Seems to have more aging potential.

BIG RED! Delicious juice, big and hearty, complex flavors, enjoyed at Chesters Chop House, really needs a few more years to develop and mature, however decanting for at least two hours before dinner would help tremendously.

The cab franc in this wine is excellently done with the veggie notes seamlessly blending into deep, rich but not overpowering ripe fruit (blackberry, black cherry, perhaps cassis). Nose is alluring and elegant with warm aromas that caress the nose with crushed perfumey flowers, hints of vegetables, red fruit, hints of gentle sweet spices. Finish fades of same elements from palate and nose. Dry. Body medium plus, acid medium, tannin medium. 15.1% abv. Very good, a bit pricey as tested …

Almost black in the glass, this wine shows intense blackcurrant, sweet cherry and tobacco aromas on the nose. The palate is full bodied and mouth filling. Along with layer upon layer of dark berry fruit it showed toasty oak, cigar box and spice characters. Well integrated tannins and lively acidity.

Thursday night at Zu Zu's (Napa CA) : Deep and brooding, lots of complexity here. Very round mouth-feel and long finish. 40% Cabernet Sauvignon but spicey 56% cabernet franc steps forward upfront, also some melot and malbec (2% each). Very enjoyable now but definitely will develop in the cellar. Double gold medal at recent American Fine Wine Competition "Winemaker's Notes: Inky with black/garnet hues; Cassis, licorice, green olive and wild sage aromas are blanketed with dusty earth and cedary oak. …

Was to young, decanted for a few hours and then ran through an aerator before it was smooth. Big late finish, but would be better if it would have sat for a few more years.

Full nose of mocha with some herbal undertones. Palate is rich and decadent with herbal notes that echo the nose. Persistent with full-bodied fruit and modest complexity. Young. Should develop some nuance and further character with a few years.
