Wow, this is the definition of full-bodied. So powerful! But first thing’s first. On the nose, plum, cedar, tobacco, and lots of minerality (iron, soil and blood). Intense but wouldn’t call it elegant. Smooth and fills the entire mouth. Maybe lacking a tad freshness. Still prominent tannins in the long finish. Big wine that can continue to develop for many years and really doesn’t have many tertiary aromas at the moment. Usually not my type of wine but paired well …
