Patrice Rion Nuits-Saint-Georges Vieilles Vignes

Drinking wonderfully. Smooth, no hard edges. Crimson to garnet in colour with some sediment on bottom. No decant but I let the wine open up and breath in glass. Earthy, berry, beetroot, aromas. A floral element. Medium bodied. Nice slightly sour cherry, strawberry flavours. Juicy, fresh. Last bottle, too bad.

Sour cherry nose with a small hint of funk. Good fruit body with a decent finish. A nice wine if not a great one.

No improvement better drink up.

nice sweet red fruit on the nose, a little lightweight on the palate however. A few detectible tannins but I doubt it'll improve much. I'll give a few months before trying again.

Ripe sour cherry, strawberry and leather complexity are still there but I missed the barnyard on the nose of this bottle. Light, balanced mouth feel with some ripe tannins supporting the structure. There is nice fruit sweetness on the finish. Still little young. Try it again in three years.

Spouse and I had with bison tenderloin in a red wine reduction, popped and poured, good nose, flowery, palate is cherries, red berries, dusty. Finished last third the next day, very smooth but faded quickly in the glass. Drink or keep for 2 years.

Ripe sour cherry, almost strawberry, leather and touch on barnyard on the nose. Light, balanced mouth feel with fruit still dominating on the palate. There is nice fruit sweetness on the mid palate. Moderate finish. Drink now if you like young Burgundies but it will age nicely for few more years.

Pale garnet colour to rose rim. Aromas of cherry, spice, candy floss. Medium-bodied with cherry and spice. Moderate finish, dusty, with red fruit.
