First glass was undrinkable with a bitter funk that blew off after decanting and wait an hr. Day 2 had some unpleasant acidity. Pour it out after that. Do not believe it was flawed, it just did not age well.

We poured the wine into a decanter and served the first glasses immediately. The wine was medium to dark ruby in colour and offered cherry, blackberry, plum, pickled baby corn, baby pickles, espresso, cocoa, vanilla and roasted notes on the nose. On the palate the wine showed cherry, raspberry, blackberry, plum, cocoa, vanilla and tobacco, paired with medium-plus acidity, slightly bitter medium to medium-plus tannin, moderate heat from the alcohol, a creamy mouthfeel and good length.
