A lot of acidity, sharp, lime, slight hint of petrol. I was expecting a more mature, integrated wine after more than 8 years in the bottle to be honest. Recently had the Munny 2023 and that was much more interesting/complex.

My first bottle of this so I can't say how it has evolved since release, but it is in a very nice spot now. There is more apparent sweetness than I would expect given the designation and age, but it's well balanced. Delicious.

What an absolute treat to check in on such a wonderfully racy wine at over 8 years of age. This was unbelievably fine and still so electric. A beautiful wine that showed notes of lime leaf, lemon oil, and a flutter of smoke on the nose. The mouthwatering palate was like mineral water infused with quince, lemons, limes, and piquant nectarines with a salty and lingering finish full of energy. A wine with tons of life ahead, but drinking so …

RieslingKenner - Meyer Nepal Vertical Tasting - December 8, 2024 For the second year in a row, we organized a small private tasting and lunch to do an intimate look at one of the most sought-after wines in the Hofgut Falkenstein lineup. This year, the tasting was led by none other than Falkenstein winemaker, Johannes Weber. Our guests also had the opportunity to hear the deeply insightful comments of legendary German wine critic, David Schildknecht. The wines all showed incredibly …

Acidity is ripping; it’s still young and vibrant. Plenty of life to keep going.

AP11 - primary and young... Aromas of sweet lime juice, pear and apple candy, crushed stone and clean salty sea air, bergamot, mint, a bit of iris and citrus blossom... Juicy and vivacious on the palate, there's some serious bounce here, the mid-palate is deep and plush for a second, then its all about a steep descent into Saar cut and levity. Gorgeous length, the finish gushes with tart fruit, salty and stony layers impart a serious feeling, and delicate …

Ap 11. Blek, nesten hvit farge. Skikkelig god vin.

The nose is pristine, fragrant, and poised with well balanced and fresh tones of pears, white fruits, white peaches, lemon zest, green apples, saline, crushed rocks, and acacia flowers. There is excellent tension and poise to the nose as it shows off some good depth to boot. The Light bodied feel is pristine and poised with racy, high acidity that is mouthwatering. This is really pretty right now and with a big dose of freshness and tension.

Seems the house style is on the lean, tart side. The bottom quarter showed the best after open for 3 days.

Hm, macht Spaß und passt gut zu der Temperatur; ein großes Wow-Erlebnis hatte ich aber nicht.
