An interesting wine here - fully mature, expansive on the palate, this is a wine to spend some time with.

Just a gorgeous wine! Great flavor, minerality, lenghth. True to its character as a white Burgundy. Loved it!

Very rich, velvety and ripe wine upon opening. Seemed a little one-dimensional the first day. Wine improved immensely by the second day, becoming more crisp and evolved with secondary floral and sweet vanilla characteristics. Finish was honeyed and mineral at once, very balanced acidity. A bit young, but will drink. Will reward 4-5 years of lying down.

Might be in a bit of a dumb phase; quite shy and locked down at first, then opened up after 45 minutes or so to reveal the complexity, intensity, and lusciousness that I expect from Javillier. Just fantastic by the last glass. Was looking forward to more after some more air time, only to discover that the wife finished the bottle! Very well done, with more evolution to come.

Had with a medium spiced bouillabaisse and it held up elegantly, I would say.

Artisan Vineyards/ Haskell's Tasting (Minneapolis) : Nice wine with chalk, orange peel, lemon and minerals. Good acidity and medium finish.

From cask: Nice racy nose, with green fruit showing well. Quite stylish mouth entry - almost perfumed, but lacks a little weight on the palate. Rather tails away. 3-
