This is big, dry and chewy! Big dark fruit flavors, still has excellent tannins, but well balanced. Along with the fruit you taste leather, tobacco, light chalk. This is a big powerful wine, no wimpy flavors, it would hold its own against most any food.

A very dark wine with dark fruit flavors. Not overpowering and fairly smooth. A very nice wine for the price.

So ridiculously dark! Like ink. Graham cracker and cherry juice prevail on the very rich nose plus some leather, pipe tobacco and chalk. Very dry hard tannins are a little much for me. Maybe will smooth out with a couple more years laying down. A little alcohol that hasn't fully integrated is also present on the puckery finish. I would like to try this again in about 4 years.

There's a lot to like here. It is thick with dark fruit aroma and taste. However, it is not syrupy. It has a nice finish.

I'm not a petite sirah fan but this was good. Almost black in the glass, with dark fruit and blueberry flavors. Nice mineral on the finish. Took a while to open up but once it did it was really quite tasty.
