Portuguese Wines Master Class: Discover a World of Difference (with Victor Amaro & D&F Wines) (The Point, Lancashire County Cricket Club) : 100% alvarinho primitivo from vines planted 25 years ago in granite soils 800m above sea level, fermented in stainless steel and matured over fine lees. From the Monção/Melgaço region, which is distinct from the rest of Vinho Verde. This has lovely pear and apple aromas on the nose. Good, full palate with lots of character.
