The Vice Cabernet Sauvignon Coyote Loser, Batch 117

Glass from Coravin, didn’t start opening up till three hours. I would say give it at least four. Edit: much better on day 2! Updated rating

Very underwhelmed; expecting much more. Price tag way too high.

Nose of rich blackberry, laurel and cedar. Full-bodied this shows an excess of cedary oak, but also some sweet black and boysenberry as well as spice. Moderately tannic with bright acids, this was an excellent foil to a ribeye but on its own is too acidic and angular for me. Most will enjoy. 90

A good mid week Cabernet. A nose and palate of black fruits, spice and vanilla. Not really complex but a very food friendly wine.
