I was a bit concerned when I opened the bottle, since the cork had started to crumble, just a bit. What a pleasant surprise this was. So very smooth, and delicate, with those dark berry notes that a good syrah always seems to have. Whiffs of chocolate, and a certain regret that all things are ephemeral, most especially a bottle of truly excellent wine.
