I have a saying … grandma’s basement is great, grandpa’s basement not so much. I get an awesome grandma’s basement with fruit that is out of this world finish. Tannins are leveled out and needs a little to no decanting! 2017 is a great year in my book!

Jammy and sweet at first but with a little time the tanins opened up providing structure and some complexity. Black cherry, plum, currant s. Is that a little licorice? Very drinkable and unpretentious.

(13.22.22.33) - fruit forward and Sweet. Less tannins then anticipated. Seems to be a good value for the price. Tasted after 90 minutes decanted. Would let it age. Plenty of life left

Enjoyable wine with a spicy finish. Decanted four 60 minutes and got better with time. I’d suggest maybe waiting a couple years, but it’s good enough now.

Medium purple color. Lush, inviting nose of sweet plums, red and black currants, and lavender, dark chocolate, coffee and vanilla. Full-bodied, velvety and suave with lively acidity, tangy red and black cherries, juicy but fresh fruit. Nicely integrated aspects of coffee, sweet green herbs, black tea, with nuanced vanilla and cedar. Lots going on, but really accessible now. Cabernet, 11% Petite Sirah, 8% Malbec. Aged in 33% new French and American oak for 20 months.
