Maison L'Envoye, Le Saint Pale Rose, Beaujolais

Still holding in much the same shape as previously. Very refreshing on a sweltering day.

Interest Gamay based Rose from Beaujolais. It has a lovely light colour like a Cote de Provence, but lacks the finish. Very good inoffensive Rose that is fairly low alcohol though I would have preferred a longer finish and more fruit.

Same as last bottle. No change. Very nice rose without the extra fruity notes of watermelon, etc. Dry, nice acid, not overly complex but a hint of white pepper on the finish just to be interesting.

Tasted at 12C (~54F). No decanting or aeration. Appearance: Nothing out of the ordinary here, it is a standard pale pink, as one would expect of a rosé. Nose: Medium intensity, with primary aromas of fresh red fruits like strawberries, red plum, and raspberries. There is a delicate secondary aroma of minerality. Decent week night rose'. Handy screw cap. Perhaps a bit dry. Might want a bit more fruit for my rose' palate but this is very solid and will appeal to many.

Pale salmon color with nice fruit on the nose. Taste has a lot of salinity and acid without any non-grape fruit notes (strawberry, watermelon, etc). Very dry with a long but monotone finish.

Better second and third night

A surprising amount of fizz, but absolutely welcome. Nose of apples and the Alsatian countryside. Not terribly complex, but 100% enjoyable, more so than many designated champagnes that I've tasted.
