Medium(+) intensity aromas of strawberries, cherries, and blackberries with subtle hints of violet. Dry, with medium(-) body and tannin and medium alcohol and acidity providing gentle structure to warm pronounced flavors mirroring the aromas and adding touches of plum, raspberry, and red currant. The fruits seem to grow darker with time in glass. This is a delicate and elegant Pinot Noir that could stand a bit more body and/or tannic backbone but is still beautiful and expressive of place. Brodie WT: Quite un-Pinot like and more akin to a light Syrah. Too extracted and heavy for me.

Dark cherry, florals, dark spices. Medium weight. Rounded and pliable tannins. Drinking well.

Dark ruby. Herbal/floral scents. Medium+ weight. Tight, tannic, serious black fruit, but this is more Syrah than Pinot to me.

Bright berry fruits, dried herbs, leather and toasted cumin on the nose. Rich and fresh palate. Medium-bodied. Good depth. Transition to the dry finish is smooth. At its peak. Ready to drink now.

Dark fruits, tasted with two Felton road (block 5 and Calvert), more herbals and spices, dense and tannic. Showing more strength but less harmony, huge potential ahead, need time to mellow. Ap 5/5, Ar 13/15, Palate 16/20, Overall 4+4/10 Total 92+/100

Similar to the 2010 that I tried last week but with a little more fruit. Dark and plummy, a little simple. Still would not have guessed it as a Pinot.

Six top Martinborough pinots at the The Wine Bank (Martinborough, New Zealand) : Small sample. Brief note. Very dark but bright ruby. A different, more polished bouquet of Christmas cake spices, very dark fruit, liquorice and a hint of violets. A seamless, opulent, dark fruited entry to the palate. Sweeter-seeming than the other wines. Blackberries, dark plums, espresso and liquorice. Concentration and power with some tannic grip on the finish. The least evolved, most primary wine of the six. It's …

Blackberry, pretty, slight whole berry, slight spice. Slightly sour black fruits, wetly juicy, front of mouth grip. Okay.

Negociants Australia New Release Tasting 2019 : Cherry, stalks, red currant. Good savoury palate with some of the herbs and earth melded together. Like the profile and the cut of this.

Monthly Tasting Group HWS #137; New Zealand : Strawberries, raspberries and fresh cherry fruits in the bouquet. On the palate juicy fruits, a bit like lemonade, but also good complexity and acidity. Some pleasant sweetness and slightly drying in the finish. Beautiful wine with a future of 5+ years.

PNP into Spiegelau tasting glass (“Root” day): To the eyes medium purplish ruby, quite a lot of legs too. Juicy, airy blue and black pinot fruits that reminds me of the Ribena drink, some red cherries too, though not at all candied and unpleasant. At this stage, it is more fruit forward with some underlying Subtle florals and spices. (Profile not dissimilar to the 2 great Berthaut-Gerbet Gervey tasted before?) On palate good acidity with ripe and suave tannins. Fruit …
