Knipser, Steinbuckel Riesling GG, Pfalz

Deep golden colour (noticeably more so than the last bottle I opened ~3 years ago). Yellow stone fruit and minerality on the nose and palate. Pronounced but balanced acidity that keeps the flavour profile long, lively and structured. A rich, elegant wine that’s drinking beautifully now and has years of life left — I just wish that wasn’t my last bottle of the 2010 vintage!

Knipser Laumersheimer Mandelberg Steinbuckel Riesling Grosses Gewächs Gul. Floral, eksotisk frukt på duft. Flott syre, mineralsk, litt sødme, eksotisk frukt, lang smak, flott vin.

Late Jul 2013: not decanted; bright yellow color; slow legs; apple, grapfruit, lemon; medium/full body; smooth texture; mild acid. Very well-balanced wine: nice.

Mid Apr 2013: bright brass color; protruding nose: lemon, grapefruit, apple; fruity with a fresh, mild acid in the mouth; well balanced; medium/full body. Great Riesling.
