At the Plough, Mountnessing, School Friends Xmas Dinner. No formal note. Quite oaky nose with vanilla, hints of chocolate and coffee, some dark cherry fruit. Lacking a little typicity. Also lacking depth and length on the mid-palate, some firm tannins, shortish finish. A little disappointing, and served a little warm.

Luscious nose of prunes and glaced cherries. Mouth of raisinettes (chocolate raisins) and raspberries. Disappointing finish of dirt, coffee grounds and maybe a touch of cigarette butts. Worth trying again though.
