As others have noted, this is a lighter and brighter Sangiovese than found in Chianti. Nice red cherry and black currant with subtle floral notes.

Strong price:performer. Gave this multiple round trips through the aerating decanter and that helped open this open - which it continued to do over the course of a pizza dinner. Nice complexity on the nose. High acidity with a taut structure underneath. Maybe a couple years of cellar time?

Really enjoyed this Umbrian Sangiovese, as well as the white I got from the same estate via Garagiste. Great value and interest here.

Very light for a sangiovese. Acidic with some cherry, but not much fruit

I’ll try and give our next couple bottles some more time to see if this develops. Pretty average to start, tastes like a cheap red wine. After a couple hours it started to come together but still disjointed and harsh. Had high hopes and disappointed so far.

Fantastic. A Barbera raised entirely in stainless, and farmed without chemical treatments, relying only on ambient yeast. Less than 1500 bottles in most vintages, this is refreshing, rejuvenating, even, not so much for its wonderful sapidity, but for its vision, its execution, and honest representation of a grape that can too often be experienced in less transparent styles/methods. Juicy, crunchy red fruits, layers of gentleness, and a finish that begs for another indulgence; fun, too. Just 13,5% abv. recommended https://www.ItalianWine.blog
