Very nice. Well balanced, soft tannins, smooth. Enjoyed without food, also went well with appetizers at a holiday party.

Checking back in a year later. This wine has come together a bit more (alcohol pretty well integrated at this point and the body has filled out). Similar notes to the bottle from last year, but the wine has evolved and still has room to improve.

Similar to how I remember the 2019. Took about an hour of air to come around. Bright ruby color. Dates, vanilla and a bit of mocha on the nose. Body is smooth but maybe a bit thin, no noticeable heat, low acidity. Tart black cherry on the palate, with notes of sweet dried dates, tobacco and blueberries. Short finish.
