Plummy red fruit, with a bit of funky herbaceousness. Ok, but kind of simple and rustic. I've had better Washington Merlots in that price range.

A little young but well balanced. Taste too much grape for a 5 year old wine. Smell is smooth. Tannins are evident but balanced.

Not much of a Merlot drinker, but this is a wine I would drink again. Still a little hot on a pop 'n pour, so decant it for a while and enjoy!

A touch of barnyard after a good hour of breathing. Solid core of plum, blackberries and a bit of anise on the nose. Great medium to heavy mouthfeel. Solid mid-palate of sour cherry and blackberry. Super smooth and well structured. Soft evident tannins, and a nice balanced finish. My only beef is the lack of QPR. I had an Italian '09 Merlot last week for less than half the price that was as good if not better.
