Dark purple in color with a wide purplish rim. Fruity nose of blueberries, black plums, cooked cherries, earth, light oak, spices, chocolates, coffee, licorice, light vanilla, black pepper and light barnyard. Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity. Dry on the palate with red currants, cooked plums, cherries, raspberries, light oak, licorice, olives, spices, coffee and peppercorn. Tangy finish with soft tannins and tangy cranberries. This is a very interesting Northern Rhône style red from Arizona. A good quality …

Bunch of Samples : Medium purple color. The nose shows plums, black currants, lots of anise, pepper, campfire, with notes of red pepper flakes and dried violet petals. Full but fresh. Chewy tannins, medium acidity, with tart blackberry, blueberry and saucy plums. Graphite and clay tones mix with pepper, bacon fat and glazed mushroom. There’s a lot going on here and it’s balanced well. Nice stuff, great intro to Arizona Syrah for the price.
