Bouvet-Ladubay, Saumur, Tresor Brut Blanc

Lovely fresh sparkler...such amazing value. Ripe fruity Chardonnay with just the right amount of acidity. I would have believed this was a champagne - it's better than most bargain champagnes. At 5.80 euros it is unbelievable......

Pale colour, medium intense, medium-fine perlage. The wine offered apple, citrus, shy stone fruit, woolly notes, baguette and a tiny hint of smoke on the nose and palate, with rather coarse mousse of rather big bubbles, medium-level acidity and average length. The broad, medium-bodied, reasonably balanced wine seemed sugary from the initial attack through the finish and would have benefited from a little more freshness. It did not have much complexity, but paired acceptably well with our curry and drank …

Fein, cremig, frisch, caramell, etwas Fassreife im Abgang.

Frisch zitronig feinperlig, nicht so fassig wie erwartet, für 6 Jahre sehr jung. Keine Oxidation.

Schöne deutliche Hefe in der Nase, heftige Zitronensäure, feine starke knackige Perlen, erfrischend.

At the winery's tasting room in Saumur, first experience with this wine. Excellent region for sparking wine. Tart, apple and pears, oak (barrel aged), makes it unique. Ripe and layered finish. Best of the tasting...really nice...not available in the US

Very good. Sehr hefige Nase, sehr feine Perlen, glasklarer Geschmack.

Spritzig zitronengelb mit mittlerem Körper. Zisch und weg.

Trocken und spritzig.
