Podere il Palazzino Rosso del Palazzino Toscana IGT

Thanksgiving wine store tasting pour. Fresh, red fruit, moderate complexity, nice entry level Rosso.

I completely concur with Ben - this was decent value for the price I believe. Cherries popped through and the herbal note was stunning and singular on the nose. More interesting than the palate which got better with air over an hour or so. I'll see what day two brings...

Has that red cherry spice and savory herb thing on the nose. Like a beautiful herb note on the nose. ROund on the palate but with clarity and focus. From the youngest vines on the estate and a single vineyard parcel as well. And some of the most productive parts of their vineyards, particularly the lower part of La Pieve (which I think the bulk of production goes to Grosso Sanesse).
