Benromach 11 Year Old Contrasts: Cara Gold Malt Single Malt Scotch Whisky, 46%

Scotch Tasting in Edinburgh (at The Scotch Whisky Experience) : Benromach was the first Speyside distillery to officially earn the "organic" designation. A clear amber color. Aromas of malt, oak and spice. These all follow on to the palate along with a touch of tropical fruit and a hint of lemon. Both = #2.

Spicy nose, cinnamon, cloves, marmalade, touch of ginger, Spicy on the palate too, black pepper and chilli, then there's a nutty almost marzipan note with a salty finish and a hint of smoke. Definitely spicier than the air-dried version.

Virgin oak, full bodied, spicy, red fruit, creamy with vanilla. Big spicy whisky. Very nice.
