Way to go Okanogan AVA. One of the better efforts I have tried from this region. Ripe fruit, medium to full body with a kiss of aged balsamic. Fig, plum and cherry on the finish. A really nice wine from our Northern kin!

Deep burgundy, slightly opaque edging. Aromatic though a bit hot with butterscotch and cedar. Full bodied tannins in the house! Big and jammy as expected. Stays warm, but thins in aftertaste. Overall very well formed and in character.

From the cellar so still cool... Clear garnet core out to a browning (Coca Cola colour) rim. Clean nose of medium intensity of brown sugar, maple syrup, dark fruit, dill and a touch (just a touch when it's cool) of ethyl acetate. i cannot believe how good burrowing owls cabs are with a little age ..........it tastes like a older bordeaux,very smooth soft fruit...very nice

Clear dark garnet core out to a slightly browning edge and rim - medium intensity. Clean nose of brown sugar, vanilla, dark fruit of medium plus intensity - alcohol noted on nose. Dry and very smooth ( almost slippery) on the palate with medium intense flavours of maderized fruit, brown sugar and cherry cola. Amazing bottle variation. Two bottles that I bought at the same time from the winery and were cellared side by side for the whole time proved to be so different. The first was thin, somewhat vegetal and tannic. This one, the second one, was rich, fruity, young and vivacious and very enjoyable if somewhat one-dimensional. 50+5+11+15+7=89

Hard to say what this wine was once, but it is no longer. I will echo other tasters on this one in saying the nose was dominated by sasparilla. It also had some candied, vanilla and licorice components to it... but the aroma profile stayed in the same vein. On the palate the wine was hot, flabby, and a little raisiny... Starts off with some dark salty licorish, then some strong tones of sarsaparilla, followed by some good flavours of root beer, I almost detected some raspberry jam, but that was beat up by some more sarsaparilla flavours. Dark blackish red color with just a little brick coloring at the edge. Heady intense nose and a big chewy taste in this full bodied effort, which started with some acidity but smoothed out over an hour or two of drinking for a honest cabernet taste that can be appreciated on a number of levels although not a very complex offering. Some dry tannins still on the palate.
