Dark red. Very nice nose, berry fruit, coffee bean and a bit of oak. Dry berry and cassis flavours. The finish is delicious and tannic.

This one was better. Nice, relatively inexpensive Bordeaux.

Not as good as the last one. Evi was less thrilled as well (too astringent). I didn't rate, as I opened at the last minute without decanting. I suspect that was part of the problem.

Much better than the last one I had. Lots of tobacco, medium long finish, dark and inky. Very well balanced, and the tannins have reached a pleasant smoothness.

Licorice, black cherry and cocoa round out the nose. Rich, silky and plush, with more than enough, ripe, dark red, luscious fruits. You can drink this now, or wait a few years.

Grand Cercle wines: Mainly 2015 just bottled (Chateau de Pressac Saint Emilion) : What a lovely wine! Nose aromatically pleasing. Floral and fruit driven, and veritably floral. With a hint of iron like earthiness that lends a certain gravitas. This has focus freshness and bright fruit. Wow. My favorite of the Fronsacs in 2015 in this tasting.

Couleur noire, nez puissant, café et fruits noirs, bouche riche et tanins plutôt fondus, très beau vin

Rich, silky, plush, ripe fresh galore, with silky tannins, freshness, concentration and a rich, polished texture in the sweet, fruit filled finish.

Darker fruits with good acidity and concentration. Good texture and balance. Floral notes in the end (violets?). Round tannins. Drinking well right now but should continue to do well with additional cellar time. Not super complex or special but I'm very happy with the QPR.

With a nose of licorice, plums and spice, this generous, round, sweet wine ends with a wave of cherries. Already open and enjoyable, this is another solid, Bordeaux value wine for drinking in its youth.
