Slow-oxed for ~5hrs before drinking. This had a pretty nose that alternately showed red raspberry, cherry, violet, and chalky earth. On the palate it's light to medium bodied and slky textured, but there is what comes across as unripe acidity that renders the mouthfeel a touch harsh. This is mitigated drinking with food which has some fat. But on the whole, the wine is just not as pleasant and harmonious as one would hope. With little to no tannic structure …

Silky but drying and woody. Elegantly smooth on the palate. 91-92 but going down

Opened for several hours before consuming. Violet and red berry aromas, accompanied by a layer of earthiness. Very Chambolle. The palate follows suit with crunchy red fruits with a medium-light weight. This doesn't quite have the flesh to buffer the bright acidity completely, leaving a slightly tangy quality to the finish. Tannins are all but resolved at this point. This is probably just at the start of its long fade to its tertiary stage, though it's got some life yet. …

Some orange in the rim. Fruit subdued, a little animal, some red berries; still a small amount of tannin to resolve. Not a sensual wine, at least at this point.

Needed 2 hours of decant. Color was a deep dark transperant with orange rim. Really lovely evolved nose of: pot pouri and quite perfumy, sour cherry, ripe strawberrys, cinnamon and sweet licorice, smoked ham some wood and floral notes, forest floor and dirty mushrooms and a subbtle glue note in the backend. Beautifull elegant and sexy palate with notes of: sweet ripe red fruits, cinnamon, cherry cola lingon berries, red licorice strawberry and a ketchup thing. Beautifull balanced and well rounded, …

A really lovely young village Chambolle. A bit of heat on the nose, but great purity of fruit and plenty of structure. Needs another ten years.

Forthcoming fragrances of dark fruits and forest floor, very enticing. The palate is certainly on the lighter weight side, but it is by no means lacking in flavor. The characteristically zippy acidity of '02 runs through the juiciness of the fruit and leads into a tannic structure that is slightly firm and in need of time for resolution. This wine appears to have turned the corner into its adolescent phase, but several more years should see it integrate even further. …

Very nice and elegant wine. Light forest floor nose. Not that intense. On the palate, not a lot of fruit, acidity a little too much out of balance vs the fruit. Might get better with a little more age as the tannins are a little rough still, however, the lack of fruit is a concern. OK food wine. Nice with bbq chicken. I was hoping for a little more fruit, but still a nice value for $25 from premier cru. …

Cherry red with a slight brick rim. An elegant mix of red berries, earth and spice on the nose. Soft and sweet in the mouth with good density and gentile tannins and just a touch of rusticity in the finish. Elegant and very Chambolle. Drink over the next 4-6 years
