Attaque franchement au depart, s’adoucit bien en carafe. Note de bois et de fruit rouge frais. Boire 2026-2028

Fruit forward, with notes of blackberry and dark cherry on the open, transitioning to notes of chocolate, earth and slight smoke. 14.5% ABV. On the heavier side. Seems to be aging well, and probably has at least 5-10 years left.

Raspberry and camphor on the nose. On the palate, black cherry, raspberry, and notes of savory spice and orange peel, with moderate tannins and strong acidity on the medium finish. This was an average to good value at about $45.

Same as before when the bottle is first opened it is unbalanced with mouth drying tannins and huge alcohol. I was prepared and decanted for 2 hours and paired with short ribs. With a little TLC it was really quite special. And we all enjoyed with dinner.

Medium ruby. The spice-infused black raspberry nose was mostly overpowered by alcohol. The palate followed the nose with the juicy fruit playing second fiddle to the alcohol and some pretty fierce tannins. As much as I wanted to like this wine, I found it a bit of a hard slog although, in fairness, there was a mild improvement on day 2. Disjointed would probably be the best descriptor for me.

Decanted for about an hour before having with dinner. Raspberry, and alcohol on the nose with a hint of earth and vanilla, a bit of orange peel. Initial tasting was very flat and one noted cherry. Tannins seem out of balance. Mid length finish.

Drinking very well. More northern Rhône style than new world, which is a good thing by me. Give it 30 minutes or so to open up.

This was better than I remember. Nice combination of intensity and depth. Beautiful style of syrah.

Decanted two hours. Improved but not enough to impress. Fruit was muddled dark cherry with lacquer style heat. Lacking any spice/aromatics. Nose was overpowered by the alcohol. Two more bottles left but I’m not optimistic....hoping this bottle was not representative.

Very interesting Syrah, similar to previous notes. This is quite linear and with high acidity, much less spice and weight than one gets from the likes of California Syrahs. This is high energy, with beautiful dark fruit that is so well resolved, and the age is showing nicely. No hurry to drink now but showing very well and no need to wait longer either. 94+pts.

This was better than the previous bottle I had and met expectations; I had it standing upright in my cabinet for a few days, which I think always helps. This was smooth, a bit creamy, not too spicy - I think I prefer Italian syrah to any other expression of this varietal - it's more balanced, firmer, more complex and has that creamy aspect vs. spice which I really appreciate. This was delicious, great with food or by itself or …

This felt a bit awkward right out of the bottle but it settled down quickly enough. This is pretty huge on the palate, and almost reminded me of an Amarone in concentration. There's not so much of a fruit profile, but there's plenty complexity and depth. This feels much younger than it is. Pretty serious wine. Might benefit from even more time in bottle.

Very grippy tannins on open... softened greatly with time to breath...something distinctively Italian here despite the grape.... look forward to more...

Definitely a better bottle than my last one. The nose had many herbal, leafy, earthy and mineral elements. Some cherry flavor. Highly complex. Big muscular and rustic tannin. Very solid structure. Very stable and steady performance. It's still drinkable for 1 week with re-cork. Inward and serious style.

Obvious earthy and spicy on nose. Very approachable now. Quite jammy and fruity cherry taste. It's easy drinking and straight forward. Lack of complexity. Body is stable and solid with rustic muscular tannin to support the structure. Some heat of alcohol. Not as impressive as other reviews.

This was a fun wine. It had an underlying Italian character that for me threw in a nice twist. Tannins were quite grippy, fruit was syrah-esk with blackberry showing the most.

A bowl of cherries with a very subtle background of brambly and spice nuances, this medium to full bodied wine really delivers for those who like pretty Syrah without all the pepper of the Rhone style or thickness of New World creations.

I didn't realize it was little over a month ago that I had the last bottle. Normally I take at least a year before opening the next one. I did purchase additional bottles at a sale, so maybe that drove me. Well anyway, again a very nice bottle. Deep red, full bodied and powerful. Somehow the tannins are a little more pronounced, but so is the flowery (violets?) aspect. The nose is full of flowers, liqourice and dark fruit. In …

Wonderful wine. Full bodied, fleshy, powerful and yet elegant wine. Much, much better then a couple of years ago. It has opened up to show ample dark fruit and violets (still), but in the glass also aroma's like 'woodsmoke' (can't describe it otherwise (-: ) and dried herbs . If it was aggressive, its certainly not anymore; Everything is well integrated, but it clearly has the backbone to age for...10 years+ I think is more then possible as it is …

The nose was intense with mixed berries and spice, dark chocolate and earthy herbal notes. On the palate, it was aggressive with its concentrated red and black fruits, pepper and teaming acidity that kept it fresh and lively. The finish was long and palate coating, showing a glimpse of this wine’s structure as the fruit slowly melted away. The Syrah Migliara gave me hope for Italian Syrah.
