Waipara Hills Riesling

Pale Gold, still very fresh at 9 years old. Lovely nose and flavour burst of honeyed pear with a dash of lime. Holds its length well, with a crisp finish Great example of what riesling from Waipara, arguably NZ's best region for the variety, will do after a few years in the cellar.

Light gold in colour with distinctive spritz. Lovely aged riesling nose with lime and tropical (ripe pineapple and banana) aromas. Great flavour burst on the front of the palate of slightly honeyed tropical fruits, holding its flavour through the mid-palate. Fine structure is marred slightly by a somewhat one-dimensional finish that include a faint but obviously bitter flavour. Classic aromas of lime and elderflower cordial. Pithy but with ripe fruit on the entry, the lime sherbet character dominates the palate. Simple but good, nice fresh acidity and a dry finish. Good.
