Another Bachelder Gamay winner - these wines may be the best value wines in Ontario. Bramble, blueberry, forest floor on the nose. Lively in the mouth. Delicate tannins and juicy acidity. Loads of blueberry and juicy black plum on the palate. A touch of spicy black pepper through a long finish. No reason this won’t drink well for another five years.

Great with Pepper Steak, Spaghetti with meat sauce

Getting spiced cranberry sauce, forest floor, black pepper, pomegranate. Palate is similar - bright acid backbone, low tannin, fall in a glass. Autumn dried leaves, more cranberry. Great complexity. Medium finish. Depth of flavor is impressive

Tasted from a magnum that is actually the “puncheon reserve”, a specific puncheon bottled separately from the 750ml. Rustic and funky on the nose, palate is much cleaner. Delicious fresh berry fruit, hint of peppery spice and some of that funky earth underneath. Great length and super well balanced.

Drinking nicely now, but young. Still a bit shrill on the acidity. Fruit is on the sour side, but nice. Blueberries and dark fruit berries. Some spices on the finish. Very tasty. But wanted a bit more depth to the wine. Seemed a bit watery at first but put on some weight by the end.

Incredible, my favorite Gamay of Bachelder's portfolio along with the Bai Xu. Just lovely concentrated blueberries, silky tannins and fantastic depth. There's a hint of spice on the finish and the acidity and texture are all balanced.
