Tasted at the winery and compared to the '10 Windacre and the '07 and '10 Jones. This was the favorite of the four. Lots of great fruit flavor. 92-3 pts. Purchased a bottle and expect to drink it in the next year.

Good fruit. A little cooked aroma. Good depth and still has a bit of tannin. Drank nice.

Second Merriam Cab Franc I have tasted. The other was 2005. Both are outstanding. Great little winery to visit in Russian River/Alexander Valley area. All the reds there were drinkable but cab franc and merlot were best. Windacre vineyard seems to produce my favorite of their wines. Nice people, worth a visit.

Enjoyed a wine dinner of Peter Merriam at SeaGlass Restaurant Salsbury MA 2-10-2011 His Simoneau Chard from Alexander valley s also excellent ad under $20.00. We bought a sixer of his Cab Franc immediately, haven't found the chard yet.. If you like Cab Franc, you'l love the fruit and aroma of this one. Beautifully balanced
