Pop n pour, drank over 3 hours. Lemon curd and saline, pleasant enough but a tad uninteresting for me. No real tertiary development at this stage.

Pop n pour at a local BYO Japanese Restaurant. Might be the cheap glasses, but a little muted on the nose. Some usual suspects though, lemon and saline, that textural saline weighed mid palate, and quite a nice medium + finish that I can’t quite put my finger on. Enjoyed this, its pleasant, albeit probably lacks complexity.

Oxidative notes, vegetal notes. Still reasonably fresh acidity, but appears a bit unbalanced. Ok to accompany grilled tuna and salmon, but not so pleasant on its own

Proper old school Aussie Semillon. All lemon butter on the nose and in the mouth. Layered, textural and full, with a clean dry finish.

Day off in Adelaide #1 (National Wine Centre of Australia, Adelaide, South Australia, Australia) : Pale straw. Slightly vegetal palate with hints of varietal lanolin. A touch of oxidative character on the nose. The wine has (for my tastes) an actively unlikable palate that feels old, vegetal and drying out. Unattractive but concentrated. Possibly too old?
